The children starting school at the LUfanten daycare center visited us today. Five children aged 5 – 6 and two teachers took a look inside our conference hotel.
In the hotel kitchen, our head chef Klaus Fendel showed them the large pots and kitchen utensils, the very special oven and a huge ladle. In the restaurant next door, the children learned how food is kept warm on a buffet in a water bath. During the tour of a hotel room on the third floor, the view of the park and wintry Ludwigshafen was particularly impressive! Before heading to “their” conference room for a refreshment of hot chocolate and Christmas cookies, the children stopped by reception and learned from Katharina Jahnke how a room booking is processed and that the computer is a very important tool. After the “coffee break”, the girls and boys took a look at our chapel and the beautifully handcrafted nativity scene by master nativity scene builder Markus Trescher before making their way back to the daycare center.
A big thank you to Kerstin Thon, head of the LUfanten, for this wonderful campaign.
